FULL-COLOR BANNER SPECIFICATIONS
File Requirements
Our preferred file formats are TIFF, EPS and PDF. All jobs quoted that are inclusive of customer provided artwork are based on customer artwork being in the “preferred format and resolution”.
Preferred Format and Resolution
See options below based on your finished size and desired output resolution.
Under 30 Sq Ft (Standard Resolution):
- Image size: 1/4 scale @ 300 dpi
- TIFF, EPS or “print resolution” PDF
- CMYK color space
- Black set as Rich Black (Values: Cyan: 90% Magenta 90% Yellow 80% Black 100%)
- Example: a 3' x 4' banner: File needs to be 9”x 12” @ 300 dpi.
Over 30 Sq Ft (Standard Resolution):
- Image size: 1”=1' (one inch = one foot) Scale @ 300 dpi
- TIFF, EPS or “print resolution” PDF
- CMYK color space
- Black set as Rich Black (Values: Cyan: 90% Magenta 90% Yellow 80% Black 100%)
- Example: a 4' x 8' banner: File needs to be 4”x 8” @ 300 dpi.
Billboards (Billboard Resolution):
- 1”=1’ Scale @ 300 dpi
- Please add .5” in canvas size for bleed.
- Example: a 14'x48': File needs to be 14” x 48” @ 300 dpi. With bleed: 15” x 49”
Best Practices:
- Convert your fonts to curves (Illustrator, InDesign, Corel Draw) or rasterize text layers (Photoshop).
- Save files in CMYK mode.
- Save PDF files as single page files.
- Flatten the artwork (you can leave 2 layers if necessary -one for artwork and one with the guides).
- Specify colors: For solid colors you can use PMS Values (Solid to Process Guide Coated or PANTONE® Color Bridge Coated).
- Double check the file expands correctly (if you use file compression software).
- Rich Black Values: Cyan: 90% Magenta 90% Yellow 80% Black 100%

For ANY color matching, or precise color expectations, a hard copy of your digital file must be provided at time of submission.

We also accept your PC or MAC files created in:
- Adobe Photoshop® (psd, eps, tif, print quality pdf, max quality jpeg)
- Adobe Illustrator® (ai, eps, print quality pdf)
- Adobe InDesign® (indd, print quality pdf)
- Other programs: Please save your artwork as: .eps, .tif or max quality .jpg
- All linked or embedded images must be at 100% size of the target scale and resolution
